Our client is a dynamic Ukrainian group of companies that has been transforming the energy, automation, and electrical engineering markets for over 20 years. The company operates across 7 business lines: production of electrical engineering products, renewable energy (construction of solar power plants), electrical installation services, electricity trading, retail (20 stores of electrical products), wholesale equipment distribution, and machinery & industrial construction.

We are looking for a Chief Business Operations Officer (CBOO) to join the Board and deliver process and operational management solutions that will enhance the company’s profitability.

Requirements:
  • Experience working in a business that combines several business models with different operational processes.
  • Previous experience as a COO or in another C-level position.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, particularly the difference between operating profit in the P&L statement and operating cash flow in the Cash Flow statement.
  • Proven experience in applying diverse operational management tools across different stages of business development.
  • Background in businesses that operate with a “people-first” philosophy and grow under the concept of Human First.
  • Ability to minimize the time between identifying a problem and approving a decision, as well as between approving a decision and implementing it.
Responsibilities:
  • Organize, coordinate, digitalize, control, and enhance the efficiency of the core operational business processes across all group companies, measured by operating profit, operating margin, and operating cash flow.
  • Coordinate a portfolio of focus projects aimed at improving operational performance across the businesses.
  • Ensure effective interaction between business units and the corporate head office functions.
  • Manage a team of 5–7 people (initial stage).
Expected Results (First 3–4 Months):
  • Conducted audit and clear understanding of existing processes.
  • Proposed process and operational management solutions with potential to improve business profitability.
  • Integration into ongoing company projects and active participation in strategic management (tracking execution pace).
