Our client is a Ukrainian manufacturing company with over 20 years of experience in the energy sector.
One of the company’s key focus areas is the development and construction of solar power plants (PV stations).

We are looking for a dedicated Business Unit Leader who can take this direction to the next level — scale operations and establish an independent, efficient organizational structure.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head of Business Unit or Commercial Director in at least two service or project-based companies, ideally within a matrix organizational structure.
  • A technical background that supports the understanding and development of solar construction projects.
  • Ability to spin off a business line into an independent unit, building operational structures from the ground up.
  • Experience managing a large portfolio of projects (100+ active sites at various stages — from cost estimation to implementation), and establishing effective reporting and control systems.
  • Hands-on experience in building and optimizing operational processes, including the standardization of team workflows.
  • Track record in forming and leading cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, installation, finance) and navigating matrix environments.
  • Solid understanding of contract management, technical specifications, project budgeting, and profitability analysis.
  • Willingness to relocate to Vinnytsia, Ukraine (a relocation package is offered).
Responsibilities:
  • Full operational management of solar power plant construction projects.
  • Strategic planning and execution of the business unit’s growth in alignment with market opportunities and company goals.
  • Development of efficient project delivery processes: budgeting, procurement, execution, reporting.
  • Team leadership: managing a 70-person engineering & installation team, sales, and procurement departments; forming new teams where needed.
  • Talent acquisition and development within the unit.
  • Setting and monitoring KPIs for teams and departments.
  • Managing relationships with contractors, equipment suppliers, and investors.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and local legislation.
The сompany offers:
  • A full-time role based in Vinnytsia.
  • A trial working day to ensure mutual fit before finalizing the offer.
  • Full social benefits per Ukrainian labor law and medical insurance.
  • Corporate lunches provided.
  • Access to external training programs.
  • Career development opportunities within a growing organization.
